blah blah blahg...

Sometimes I think it's neat to have this outlet for writing things about myself to complete strangers but other times I think blogs are evil. Do they replace our need for person-to-person interactions? Are they all really just a way of creating personal attention? Honestly, I thought that by having a blog maybe I could increase traffic to my website and meet some new people.
So far nothing. It hasn't been very long and I'm impatient.
Don't listen to me, I'm just grouchy tonight (very, very grouchy.)
I've been living in the same hotel room for about 8 or 9 days now, in the small town of Giddings, TX. I would give almost anything for a vegetable that wasn't fried or soaked in butter. I would run 3 miles for a big plate of my dad's pasta carbonara. I would walk back to Colorado if my love would make me dinner. I wish I could just teleport myself home tomorrow, but instead I'll drive across Texas and sleep in another hotel. THEN, then I will be home. In the arms of my love and surrounded by my doggies. Even the bad weather won't be able to keep me from feeling happy.

my new buddy

I did not actually puchase my new friend, he was just too cute to not photograph. I like to imagine that he was enjoying the sunshine and taking a break from chasing the birds. I think I'll call him 'Gus'.
I did buy a bunch of vintage buttons (as in pins) today and some jewelry making pieces. I also bought these cool botanical specimens. I saw Sharon at Sack Lunch the other day and she was as gracious and kind as ever. If you're in the area stop by Clutter and get the best lunch around. I also had a chance to quickly peruse Clutter but not shop yet, maybe I'll do that tomorrow...
So if you're in town stop by the sale at Marburger Farm and come say hello, we're on the porch of the general store!
